Amy and Baby Grayson

Amy is a good friend of mine who is expecting her first child . . . a sweet little boy in December. She and her husband Jeff are going to make great parents! We had so much fun taking these pictures, and Amy was such a trooper. She trespassed private property and hiked through a field of dead weeds just to get these pictures! Here are a few of my favorites so far from her photoshoot.

I Heart Faces - "Smirk"

This picture to me describes in itself what most photoshoots consist of . . . two devoted parents who are do everything in their power to try to get their child to smile, and then the child who ends up having this "What is wrong with you people?" look on his face. I have to laugh everytime I look at this picture!

I Heart Faces Challenge - "Smirk"

This is my 3 year old, slightly mischevious nephew. I love this picture because you can see the mischief in his eyes, yet at the same time he is cuddling with his "lamby." He is the best of both worlds, and I love him to pieces!

Anthony and Renee

Anthony and Renee are members of our same church. We had a great photoshoot a few weeks ago at the park behind Atlantic Station. It is actually the same park where Anthony proposed to Renee! Congratulations you two . . . here are a few of my favorites from their photoshoot.

Fall Clothing Guide

You've decided to have your family picture made, and what better time than the fall! The beautiful blue skies, vibrant leaves, and cooler temperatures are a perfect combination for any family picture! Now to answer the big question . . . what is your family going to wear??

First of all, remember, these pictures should represent your family. Wear clothes that are comfortable, and that speak of each member of your family. For example, if your daughter is outgoing and a little bit sassy, her outfit should show that! Putting your family in matching outfits will limit their true personalities from shining through.

Instead, think coordinating colors. Each family member should coordinate, not necessarily match. Colors and patterns should blend together and compliment one another. Don't be afraid to add accessories such as hats, scarves, belts, and chunky jewelry. This is your opportunity to "play dress up" with your family! Have fun with the clothing, and your family's personalities will shine through in your pictures!

The outfits above can be purchased at:
LL Bean (Man)
Old Navy (Woman)
Gymboree (Children)

I Heart Faces - My Summer in Review

My summer was actually very disappointing. I spent 4 weeks out of the summer teaching summer school, and a planned vacation to Texas had to be cancelled at the last minute. I had no exciting pictures to share from my summer . . . until this past weekend. Every Labor Day weekend, a park here in south Georgia holds an annual hot air balloon festival. These pictures were taken at the "balloon glow" on the beach. All of the hot air balloons were lined up on the beach, and for one hour, remained lit up. The bottom left picture is of my sweet mom :).
